Dr. C & THE GRIS GRIS ALTERNATIVE, INDIE, SOUTHERN ROCK

Dr C & gris gris

Dr. C & THE GRIS GRIS (pronounced “Gree Gree”) is a driven, direct and charismatic rock and roll band with a Southern twist that reflects the roots of these talented musicians.
Hailing from Lafayette, LA, the group combines small hints of Cajun and swamp rock influence with elements of sludge, hard rock, and alternative.
They’re making headlines within the local scene and beyond, earning a solid reputation as an excellent live band – some of the members have had the opportunity to open for acts such as Cheap Trick, Fuel, and Sevendust, among many others.
With monolithic drums, thundering bass and sleazy guitars, Dr. C & The Gris Gris like to bring the driving musical aesthetic similar to rock bands like Audioslave, The Black Keys, Jimi Hendrix, and Guns’N’Roses, just to mention a few.
The band has been busy in the study, toiling on their debut release: “Hexes with Axes.” The album stands as a perfect example of the group’s memorable hooks, larger-than-life guitar solos, and in-your-face style. However, Dr. C & The Gris Gris also know when to slow down, alternating incendiary rockers to mellow ballads with a stark emotional feel.
Whether they’re performing a fast and groovy rock-inspired track or an introspective ballad, Dr. C & The Gris Gris wear their swamp/Cajun influences on their sleeves, adding a lot of personality to their tone.
